An intense and skilled interpretative style, with precision to take your breath away, a magnetic and charismatic stage presence, original and refreshing compositions: this is what Rémi Bolduc, one of Canada’s top saxophonists, promises his audiences. He has recently received a Felix Award for Album of the Year in the category of Jazz Interpretation for his homage to Charlie Parker. Through his self-titled ensemble, Remi composes and interprets pieces where his exuberant energy and spontaneity are revealed, leading to a very organic performance style.
Recipient of the 2008 Oscar Peterson Award, Dave Young has collaborated with the greats: Cedar Walton, Tommy Flanagan, Ellis Marsalis, Cyrus Chestnut, Oliver Jones, and of course, Oscar Peterson. His double career as classical musician and jazzman has brought him to world-wide stages and his bowing improvisations have led to his international renown.
Musicians: Dave Young (double bass), Rémi Bolduc (saxophone), André White (piano), Dave Laing (drums)
